San Diego locals Kendra and Gabe and I have met up on Coronado every year since 2016, and I love watching their family grow! This year Kendra reported that the complete insanity of having three boys and a little girl all within six years of each other has actually settled down a bit! Read up on their family below…

Eli, the oldest, is in 3rd grade and testing for the gifted and talented program this year. He is active in a combined Scouts program (boys and girls 5-18).
Max, the middle boy, is in first grade and loves to draw. He’s is in parkour and loves the obstacle courses and getting out all his extra energy jumping and climbing.

Rafa is the youngest boy and an eager reader, enjoying kindergarten. He loves Legos and has a loving, sweet personality with a little bit of goofy thrown in.
Little Sasha loves all music and listens to ABC Mouse, Simple Songs nursery rhymes, and classical music. She has some extra challenges health-wise, but she is making big strides and can go up and down stairs by herself now. She says “Mama” and a few other words, and otherwise communicates in her own ways, like picking up the TV controller off the couch to ask for a channel change!😂 After three years of sleepless nights, Kendra is finally starting to get more rest—and even more free time now that Sasha is in preschool four mornings a week!

Gabe is working hard at his CPA firm, and he hopes to fly planes or sail boats more in his free time–but for now he’s been taking the scouts sailing and to see the planes at the airport.

Kendra is a wedding photographer by trade but has taken time off to be a mom. She was able to do a little photography at the kids’ school. She worked with the kindergarten and first grade for a Snowy/Winter Wonderland theme and did the entire classes this month. She’ll do third grade and preschool in January. Turns out Kendra loves photography as much as ever!

For the very first time since Eli was born 9 years ago, Kendra left the family for 48 hours to attend her mom’s big birthday celebration in Utah. Other than going to the hospital to have a baby or to be there with Sasha during her heart surgery, Kendra had never left the children overnight! She said it was amazing to catch up with her four siblings and her mom—and take a nap!! 😂

What a joy to capture these special moments on the beach this year. The sunset showed off so much, and the kids had a lot of fun with the whole process. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2024!
