When Michelle reached out to schedule her family session, she mentioned how much she values capturing time, especially in the form of keepsake photos that preserve her family’s story. She wanted to celebrate this beautiful, healthy season of life, knowing how quickly time passes.

Trey and Julia had just moved to El Cajon when his family planned a visit from Texas. Trey’s mom and sister aren’t thrilled about them living so far away, but they’re definitely excited to have a new vacation spot—and a free place to stay! With all these Texas A&M Aggies together in San Diego, surprising Mom with beach photos felt like the perfect way to mark the trip.

When Jennifer reached out about senior portraits for her daughter Hannah, she mentioned they’d be visiting from Denver and hoped to do the session in Coronado. That’s where she and her husband honeymooned, and it’s been a favorite family vacation spot ever since. Naturally, it was the perfect place to mark this milestone.

Paul’s family was racing the calendar: daughter Katelyn was bound for an 18-month mission in Argentina, and son Coby was gearing up to marry his fiancée, Mekenna—an event Katelyn would sadly miss, along with watching her baby nephew Rhett grow. They needed to freeze these precious, fleeting moments of togetherness before life carried them off in different directions.

Kayla, John, and their sweet, energetic son Luca brought such a fun vibe to their Coronado beach session. Visiting from New Jersey, they wanted to capture candid, unposed moments of their family’s time together.

Last week, I had the absolute joy of photographing Grace, who came all the way from Chandler, Arizona, to celebrate the beginning of her senior year with a dreamy beach photoshoot in San Diego! Grace is a dancer, musical theater enthusiast, flag football player, and tennis lover. She has a very busy year ahead of her!

Some families arrive at a photo session already knowing this moment matters. Stacy booked their session before baby Harrison was even born, already anticipating how special it would be to capture their family, finally complete.

Emma asked me for not just one, but TWO sessions to celebrate her graduation. This wasn’t just about her, but her whole family, and she wanted them included!

When three little girls and their grandparents get together, you know it’s going to be a fun session. We captured all the sweet combos—each family, couples, the full crew, and of course, lots of little-kid moments. It was the perfect way to celebrate the M family and grandma’s special birthday!

Some senior sessions feel like a celebration the moment they begin, and Samantha’s was just that. The wind had a mind of its own that evening, but so did Samantha—and she was determined to enjoy the moment, and she did! Her only request going into the shoot? “A couple great shots with minimal hair in my face.” The wind WAS crazy, but somehow, her gallery is full of windswept magic that still feels calm and confident—just like her.

Sometimes, life gives you a wake-up call that makes you realize how fast time is flying—and how important it is to hit pause for a second.
