My family of six started our vacation in San Diego. The evening of the day we arrived we had Amy take our family photos. We loved our time and session! San Diego is a great city and we kept busy for the few days we were there before we went on to Newport, then to San Francisco. While visiting San Diego we stayed at Marriott Club Pulse. We visited the Safari Park and did a behind the scenes Elephant and Friends tour (amazing). We also visited Old Town and the USS Midway. Of course we couldn’t leave without donuts from The Donut Bar.

Since my son is a very energetic, ocean obsessed four-year-old boy, I was extremely concerned he would immediately submerge into the water. The day of the shoot, he skipped his nap, so I just knew that it would be a trying experience. As soon as we arrived at the lifeguard tower, toes in the sand, we hit the ground RUNNING . . . and then there was Amy. Aside from her absolute professionalism, her magic not only with the camera but with children, she consistently comforted me throughout our session.

Sarah’s family lives in the San Diego area, so her husband Brendan’s gift to her for her 30th birthday was a night at the Del and a family photo session on the beach. Here’s a peek into her birthday session.

Rachel and her husband celebrated their 15th anniversary with a trip to San Diego, complete with a photoshoot on the beach. Here’s her story of their photography experience:

Khaliq had a conference to attend in San Deigo, and we have never been, so we decided to make a trip out of it! Being six months pregnant with our second child, we wanted to take our son on a trip before his brother or sister arrives. We stayed near the convention center where Khaliq’s conference was. He attended a few events at his conference, and we also checked out the great attractions, including Legoland, Sea World, the Zoo. We got beautiful weather and were so happy to enjoy the California sun, especially because it snowed at home in Canada before we left.

I just love what my beach photography clients are wearing these days! These pink and blue color schemes are my absolute favorite, and this time of year is so perfect for gorgeous light on Coronado and San Diego’s other beautiful beaches.
