Recently my friend and favorite interior designer Joy was in town with her family, including her amazing 17-year-old son Isaiah. I got to do Isaiah’s senior portraits in San Diego, and we headed to Balboa Park for a late-morning session. Joy is besties with my other friend Sarah Tolson, who was an accomplished photographer twelve years ago when I was still just starting out. Her advice and encouragement meant the world to me as a new photographer. To make things extra-special for Joy, Sarah and I collaborated on these images. I love how Sarah edited them! These days, Sarah is switching between Texas and California, photography and her other passions (check her out over at Something Sarah Loves). She also gave me a hand with my recent blog post about getting ready for a beach session.
During their time in Arizona and California, Isaiah checked out four different Christian colleges, and I think he’s narrowed it down.
Sarah’s black and white conversions are my favorite!
We grabbed this classic San Diego family portrait while we had the chance.
This moody shot is one of my favorites:
