The Garcia family gave me an inside look into their session last fall at Presidio Park.
Q. What was the story of your trip?
A. Our family came together (some of us from out of town) to San Diego to celebrate the holiday season. With young kids across the family, it is hard to get everyone together and we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity with a memorable photo shoot.
Q. What prompted you to book a photo session?
A. Growing up we took a similar photo with our grandparents and the broader family; we wanted to re-create that photo opportunity with our next generation family (our parents now the grandparents).
Q. What concerns did you face going into your session?
A. We had four kids under four and three dogs – we weren’t sure how they were going to act or hold up during the photo session. Breaking out into smaller groups during the photo session helped take the pressure off as we could constantly swap out the kids and pets.
Q. What is a favorite memory of your photo session?
A. Watching our children interact with their grandparents, aunts/uncles, and cousins.
Q. Which is your favorite photo from your session? Why is it your favorite?
A. I love the picture of our full family – it is one that we plan to have up in our home for years to come. Amy captured a number of great shots (staged and action) that we had prints made of or used for cards as well.
Q. What did you do with your images?
A. We printed and framed several photos for our home and as gifts; we also used several on cards we’ve sent out since; we have one as the backdrop on our CPU screen as well.
Q. Anything else?
A. Thank you – we had a great experience during the shoot and love the photos that came from it!
