Things are looking pretty different for Colton since the last time I photographed him.⠀
⠀
Last year, Colton and his parents and three siblings met up with my sister and me just a few weeks into Colton’s treatment for a rare form of leukemia. He was absolutely miserable, clinging to his mama and crying (or moaning ) throughout our session . . . but we were determined to get some images because, honestly, no one was really sure if the treatment would work. Times like that make photography a serious – and heartbreaking – endeavor.⠀
⠀
Fast-forward to this year’s session and Colton’s smiling face – and smiling eyes. Could there be anything more precious?⠀
⠀
Colton’s family has been through so much this year: seemingly endless chemotherapy, multiple extended and unplanned hospital stays, so many spinal taps and injections and oral medications . . . the list goes on. But right now, Colton is in remission, and they are marching through the maintenance phase (still no picnic!!) of his treatment with HOPE.⠀
⠀
I know they would love your prayers for Colton and for their family.
