LOCATION DETAILS

Hotel del coronado

Here are all the details for this FAVORITE spot for beach photography!

TIME: We start one hour before sunset unless otherwise noted.

MEETING PLACE: We will meet on the corner of Avenida del Sol and Orange Avenue/Strand. See the map below for the location.  The Hotel del Coronado is located at 1500 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118. Here is a pin for our meeting place.

PARKING: Normally, free street parking is available on Avenida del Sol or on Orange Avenue/Strand just south of the Avenida del Sol intersection. If you can’t find parking on the street, paid parking is available in the underground parking lot at the Hotel del Coronado.

BRING: Please remember to bring a towel and change of clothes. My clients often get wet! If you have young children, bring a snack and special treat (aka bribe).

SHOES, ETC: I recommend flip-flops that you can kick off when you get to the sand. We don’t worry about “real shoes” for beach sessions. I’ll also ask you and your party to remove gum, hats, hair ties on wrists, sunglasses, and smart watches/FitBits.

DINNER OPTIONS: There are several restaurants on site at the Del and others nearby. My favorite for authentic, casual, family-friendly Mexican food (with delicious queso for your chips) is Miguel’s Cocina. Here’s the scoop on dinner ideas. Again—bring a towel and change of clothes!
