Evening San Diego Family Beach Photos by Amy Gray Photography
This delightful family squeezed a session into an enjoyable evening on the beach with friends.

Anytime you get a bunch of family members together at one time, it can be a little crazy and a lot of fun.

I enjoyed this wedding SO MUCH! It was a great big celebration of God’s faithfulness in joining these two amazing people, and, doubtless, it was the beginning of something even more wonderful.

Birth Photography 201, and I am absolutely loving this . . . the task of noticing and capturing the details of the moments surrounding a child’s very first breath . . . the day that changes a family forever.

I’ve been wanting to photograph this gorgeous, curly-haired family for a while, and I was so excited to do some child and mommy-child portraits at Crystal Pier. It’s fun to sometimes incorporate special favorites of the moment into photo sessions, to remind us exactly what our kids were “into” at the time of the session. A favorite doll is also a great way to get some smiles out of camera-shy kiddos. 🙂

I have had the pleasure of photographing this handsome little boy three times, now! His newborn session seems like it was just yesterday . . . but apparently it has been a whole year. Time flies!  (Thank you to Melanie Monroe Photography for helping out with this fun cake smash. Cake by Grove Pastry Shop, Lemon Grove.)

I have to admit, this session location and time-of-day combo made me nervous! I like to schedule my sessions at a very specific time and at my very favorite beaches and, well . . . that couldn’t happen this time. I was scared!! Fortunately, all was well, as the client family was beautiful, the baby was happy, and my contingency plan was effective! I love how these images turned out!

This was a sweet family who needed a family photo update and also some senior portraits for their eldest daughter. The Hotel del Coronado provided the perfect backdrop.

This was a very fun family to meet, simply because I have spoken and emailed with them many times before, without actually having faces to put to the name! Marion’s Childcare clients are so much fun to photograph!

Zachary’s Heart(An HLHS Survivor)By Linda Testa Zachary’s story begins before he was ever born, back in the summer of 2007. It was about 18-19 weeks into the pregnancy with Zachary

This session from last summer took me by surprise! I knew Zachary, the youngest boy, had been born with a serious heart defect, and I expected someone a bit more “delicate” than the rambunctious little guy who raced around the beach like any typical five-year-old!

All this green! These photos from last year reminded me how we could sure use some rain around here soon! I was looking back through archives and realized I hadn’t
