San Diego Family & Child Beach Portraits | Amy Gray Photogphraphy
I was in photographer heaven capturing these memories of this sweet little lady dancing around Coronado beach in her amazing dress!

It was such a privilege to capture the sweet afterglow of this couple’s recent wedding, as they requested this gorgeous honeymoon session. I hope these are treasures for their family for many years to come.

LOVED this session with this sweet family from Northern California. Their girls were so much fun to photograph, and the light at sunset was, too. They had in mind a vertical frame at home, so I had the challenge of being sure to provide some good vertical options of the whole family. Done!
I adored this family and how they loved each other! There was so much laughter during this session (and not just when I was drenching them).
I can’t tell you how much I love the opportunity to celebrate the inner AND outer beauty of young ladies on the verge of those oft-maligned teen years. These three thirteen-year-olds were a blast to photograph! They love each other so much, and their friendship offered many giggles and lots of expression, which made my job easy! As a photographer, sometimes the trickiest part is not lighting or posing — but just getting the subject’s guard down in order to get the natural expressions that we all love to see and NEED to preserve. These girls showed me their true personalities — their real inner beauty — right away, and the rest was just fun.
What a fun family, and such beautiful, model-like girls, all dressed perfectly for a beach session.
I just love this family! The children are so fun-loving and expressive, and they had a great time on the beach and were so sad when the sun was gone and our session was over. Big sister asked me for another playdate another time. I’m calling that a win!
It’s not easy to photograph 31 people in a single session (especially including toddlers!), but Heather Starr Photography and I used teamwork to take on the challenge.
Last week, I said “see you later” to some wonderful family friends, who are relocating to Virginia. They are important in so many ways, but it is significant that they are actually the very FIRST family I ever photographed on the beach at the Hotel del Coronado – way back in November of 2009, when I was just getting started in photography. Looking back, it seems I haven’t changed much . . . still drenching my clients seven years later! THEY have changed, though! Their tiny boys are a big kids now, and their 6-year-old girl just turned 13! I’m so glad I had this chance to see Keri, Mike, Rylee, Zach, and Colby again and make some special images of them enjoying one of their favorite spots in San Diego. As they reach their new home in Virginia today, my thoughts and prayers are with them for many wonderful new adventures.
