This fun family had so many children, I didn’t know what to do! So I brought my sister! Big thanks to Melanie Monroe Photography for assisting in wrangling kiddos and second-shooting this extended family session. We took as many photos in one hour, between the two of us, as we have taken at some all-day weddings! Here’s a sample of some favorites: 
I loved this evening on the beach, with these two sweet boys, the gorgeous sunset, and the low, low tide!
Jason did an amazing job of making his proposal to Nicole a memorable event! I loved meeting this sweet couple and getting to see her reactions!
This lovely family, originally from Romania, opted for a late afternoon session and got blue skies, puffy clouds, and a low, low tide! I love this combination, and Mom’s styling was perfect for the occasion!
This mom did a great job of choosing clothes for her family, and I love the carefree vibe of their session, along with the gorgeous light coming through the pier!
A photographer herself, this beautiful mom wanted photos of herself with her babies! I loved seeing their family again and meeting their newest addition, especially since I recently did her maternity session — one of my favorites from last winter! (Remember the Santa hat?)
These two little girls are the best of friends. As a bonus, they are sisters! I loved to see their sweet connections and how they love their baby brother! The light at the Lodge at Torrey Pines, where they were spending the week, was beautiful that evening.
This little boy knocked my socks off with his intelligence. He is a year-and-a-half, going on five. This family has a fun year in store, with this precocious guy getting a brother or sister!

These kids are growing up!! Since the youngest was two, my sister Melanie Monroe and I have been photographing our four children as a gift to our mom on her birthday each June.
The light was amazing for this session at the Hotel del Coronado, and I loved seeing the sweet interactions between the two cousins and their grandma. Also . . . SUCH a beautiful dress!!
I got to photograph this family again this week, and I went back to the archives to find their session from two years ago. I hadn’t blogged it then, but I loved reliving those memories of that low-tide night at the Del and their two spunky girls.
